Complaints Policy

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to clarify ISTDP Australia’s role as a training organisation and outline the appropriate channels for directing complaints regarding therapists.

Policy Statement

The purpose of this policy is to clarify ISTDP Australia’s role as a training organisation and outline the appropriate channels for directing complaints regarding therapists.

Our Role as a Training Organisation

ISTDP Australia is a training organisation focused on providing professional development in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP). As such, we are not a complaints body responsible for investigating or adjudicating issues involving therapists who have completed our training programs.

Directing Complaints

Any complaints regarding the conduct, ethics, or practices of individual therapists should be directed to the appropriate governing body overseeing their registration. This ensures that all concerns are addressed under established regulatory frameworks.

In Australia, complaints should generally be submitted to the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or the relevant state-based Health Complaints Commission.

Feedback on Professional Development

We welcome constructive feedback on our training and professional development programs. Your feedback helps us enhance our offerings and maintain high-quality educational standards. Any comments, suggestions, or concerns specifically about ISTDP Australia’s programs should be directed to: [email protected]

Review and Amendments

This policy is subject to periodic review to ensure compliance with current regulations and relevance to stakeholders’ needs. Updates will be communicated accordingly.
